awesome video, will get some fabric and start making some baby quilts
These instructional videos are great – but I ran into a few “issues” on the Border 2 (blue w/stars) she says to only cut 3 strips – next video for assembling the borders when she gets to the second border (stars) she says “you’ll have 4 strips” – also – she never says what size to cut the bias piece or how to attach these bias strips together – or at least i can’t find that video – it skips to ironing the bias and attaching it.
Wow. I’ve been quilting for more than six years and still couldn’t keep up with her. And this is supposed to be for beginners? Wasn’t clear to start with that she was using the lines on the mat to determine the length before she cut.

Alright let me simplify this because she REALLY messed it up!
Center = (fat quarter) cut to 13×19
First Border = (fat quarter) cut four 3 1/3″ strips
Second Border = Fabric is 44″ wide and 15″ high. Fold this in half legnth wise (hamburger fold!) and then cut into FOUR 3 1/2inch strips.
Third Border = Repete “second border”
I got distracted by the camel toe!
good video, what isthe other ruler called you are using?
this is the quilting ruler and you can buy at any quilting store, it is necessary to measure your material and line up and cut, it is a nice ruler and real cheap, no more than $10.00
@sha3yoon , I also live in the UAE and just started taking lessons on quilting. This looks really easy. The problem with “expert village” is that they “never’ number their tutorials. I live in Abu Dhabi and found most things, in Dubai you will have better luck.
how do u get the caption off it is irritating with it on
